The Truth About 2nd Niger Bridge – Photos & Video
The 2nd Niger Bridge is very close to the heart of the South Easterners, according to the cries and agony of this region, the main bridge that links them to the East is already wearing out and so there is a need for a need bridge despite all these years.
The Presidency has been releasing some pictures claiming work is ongoing at the proposed site of the 2nd Niger bridge. Prolific Human Rights Lawyer, Che Oyinatumba was in Onitsha recently and not only did he toured the site, but he also went round and inspect works being carried out at the proposed site for the 2nd Niger Bridge. According to him,
This is ground zero and I tell you for free, APC is lying about the level of completion of the 2nd Niger Bridge!!!
Another man, Mr. Shettima DanAzumi collaborated to the claim too, according to him…
I passed by the second Niger Bridge under construction, except if it isn’t the one u could clearly see while passing on the existing narrow Asaba Bridge, I can tell u with all sense of responsibility, there was nothing to write about.
On Tuesday, we left Owerri for Asaba through Onitsha and then the same route back from Asaba through Onitsha to Nnewi later the same day. And On the 3rd day, which is Thursday, I passed Asaba on our way to Warri and PortHacourt same day also. Throughout these three different times, I took time as we move slowly through the traffic-prone Asaba Bridge, to carefully witness what is going on in the construction and what is the level of progress there, the project is still at a very preliminary level.

COMMISSIONING OF SECOND NIGER BRIDGE
After listening to several APC leaders, particularly their assertions about how PMB has greatly ‘Transformed’ the South East, despite their 5% support during the 2015 General elections, seeing all sort of claims with pictorial proofs, of the most demanding/critical infrastructure, required by the people of the region, being the 2nd Niger Bridge. I decided to visit the site of the ongoing 2nd Niger Bridge Project, coincidentally the hometown of the Chairman of Oshimili South LGA, Comrade Uche Azuka-Osadebe.
The workers on the ground, mainly security guards, confirmed that those only visibly erected Pillars, were those funded since the days of the last administration and that not a piece of a block has been added, since this arrival of the changed regime. Every type of equipment belonging to the contractor, Julius Berger PLC, have since been moved away from the construction site.
This will only be believable by humans though, not some of those headless morons.
