Lagos-Airport Road: A Look At Akinwunmi Ambode’s Landmark On Roads – Photos

We can never get enough of Lagos State. Its a model which other states used before implementing their policies. According to them, if it works in Lagos then we can try it here too but on a small scale.

Either we like it or not, the legacies of Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode will ever live on. Though he has his flaws, some political scientists and gurus in the construction industry both alluded to his giant strides and innovation in the state. One of his many strides in the introduction of laybys in Lagos, like a magician, he was able to tame the 3rd Mainland-Iyana Oworo traffic that used to stretch all the way to Oshodi sometimes especially when it rains.

One of the Akinwunmi Ambode that we all can see is the construction of the Lagos Airport Road. The Lagos Airport Road is a gateway that leads to the city of Lagos. Leaving the airport and passing through NAHCO terminal, it leads all the way to Oshodi and then to some other parts. Just as the adage says, the first impression matters most, most of the roads linking the airport that is Ikeja and Oshodi are nothing to write about. The former governor of Lagos State seeks the permission of the Federal Government to reconstruct the road and make it look benefitting as the state wants it to be!

Fast forward to 2019, the dreams and vision of the former governor finally come into place even though it was rushed but it’s far better than nothing.

2 weeks since Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode handover over to Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu. Mr. Sanwo-Olu has been doing his best to live up to expectations and so far, it has been thumbs up Sanwo… AutoReportNG decided to revisit the Lagos-Airport Road which was commissioned by Pres. Buhari on 23rd April 2019 as we bring to you some exclusive images of the road, the painting and the night view of this road.

We are yet to know how much this road costs in the actual sense as LASG is yet to assent to the FOI bill.
