Lagos CBD Begins Clearing Of Highways, Chase Traders Causing Traffic From Roads

In a bid to ensure a smooth drive during this yuletide period, the Lagos CBD in a joint operation with the LASTMA and the Nigerian Police have formed a team to ensure the popular Ereko, Idumota road is free of traffic.

Ereko road, especially for those who drive, is a no go area once its 3 pm. The trader practically blocked the road starting from Tinubu, Tom Jones all the way down to Eyin-Eyo. Eyin-Eyo is worse as Danfos, Keke Napep and Okada riders usually block the only available one-way that motorists and passengers are struggling to take.

With this action, we hope that this will ease the flow of traffic and also bring out a lasting change not only in December but beyond.

Traders on this road have constituted a nuisance to the Eko Bridge that any driver driving trough this route will have to think twice.

With the clearing of these roads, we can only hope that there will be changes on this route especially from Tinubu to the Eko Bridge.
