Pres. Buhari Performs Groundbreaking Ceremony Of University of Transportation In Duara – PHOTOS

President Muhammadu Buhari today performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the University of Transportation in Sandamu Local Government, Daura Emirate., Kastina State.

‪The University which will be built by China Civil and Construction Company (CCECC), will be the first specialised institution of its kind.‬

”The specialised university will focus on research and development of human capital for the transport sector. The Minister for Transport, Rotimi Amaechi has said the China Civil Engineering and Construction Corporation (CCECC) will be donating $50m to support the groundbreaking of the University of Transportation in Daura, Katsina.

The project was part of the Federal Government’s efforts to develop qualified manpower that would manage the many railways facilities across the country and other transportation facilities.

With this university, Nigeria will no longer have to spend money sending Nigerians abroad to learn how to repair the railways and other mechanized types of transportation.
