The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, and some of his team today inspected the Dualization of Suleja-Minna Road, Phase 1 in Niger State.
It will be recalled that the Dualization of Suleja-Minna Road was awarded in 2010 but was re-awarded in 2019 by the federal government and the state government of Niger State.
The Suleja-Minna road is a 40 kilometers dual carriageway connecting Abuja and Niger state and also links northwest part of the country with Nigeria’s capital city.
The federal government under former President Goodluck Jonathan kicked off the dualization of the road but the work which commenced since 2010, stalled due to the non-release of funds by the government.
The federal government under President Muhammadu Buhari then ordered the rehabilitation of the failing part of the road.
With the inspection of the minister of works and housing, it seems the work is reaching a logical conclusion. These are some of the photos from the inspection below.
