In less than 24 hours, the Lagos law on the ban of Okada, Keke Napep and the hailing service such as Oride, Max, Gokada will come into place. Despite the meetings and negotiations with the state government, the government still insists on the ban of the hailing services and not reverting on their stand.
The riders on the platform today, Max and Gokada took to the streets and went to the Lagos State House of Assembly to register their displeasure, the riders who came together to appeal to the state house of assembly is asking them to ask the Lagos State to reverse the ban placed on them.
While MAX.ng and Gokada riders were at the rally, ORide says they will release a statement before February 1.
It will be recalled that the Lagos State Government has placed a ban on any form of bike hailing services, rickshaws (Keke Napep) and Okada on some 6 local government areas.
The government while giving reasons for banning the Opay, Max and Gokada rides said, its to give the youths ample time to learn a trade and be useful to the public.
