The new trains for the Lagos-Ibadan Railway and Abuja-Kaduna have finally berthed at Lagos seaport.

After nearly 70 days at sea, 10 passenger locomotives and 16 coaches of the electric multiple units (EMU) for the Abuja-Kaduna railway and Lagos-Ibadan railway smoothly docked at the Lagos Port on January 31. It is expected that all of them will arrive at Papalanto and the Abuja-Kaduna railway at the end of February. This will further improve the operational support capabilities of the two railway projects.

The project which is being managed and constructed by CCECC Nigeria LTD is expected to be completed before June 2020.

These are pictures of the trains as they were offloaded from the ship
