Fondly called many nicknames like Baba Iyabo, Baba, old soldier, some even called Ebora Owu among many other names. Chief Obasanjo is a man who is not afraid to speak his mind and this has earned him many accolades mostly jibes from his political enemies.

One thing you can’t ignore about him is his steadfastness to stand for the truth even when it means he will get into trouble. According to him, I am a Nigerian to the core and I don’t care whether you like me or not.

One of the interesting moments of President Obasanjo is that he seems to be the only Nigerian president who is an art collector. At his Museum in Ogun State, his home town, President Obasanjo put on display, cars he rode when he was in the military and also as the former democratic president of Nigeria. These cars are all in good shape in their various size and shapes.

These are some of the cars he rode while in power, before power and after power.

This was used during President Obasanjo’s second term campaign. The open nature of the vehicle was strategic because it connected man seeking office to the people searching for leaders.

The Beetle (Ijapa)
