See The Moment When Abba Kyari’s Corpse Was Brought In From A Private Jet For Burial (Photos)

The country woke up on Saturday, 18th April to hear the news from the presidency that the chief of staff of the president, Mallam Abba Kyari has died.

Abba Kyari who contacted the coronavirus after his visit to Germany in March 2020 was said to have developed some complications which resulted in his death around 9 pm at a private hospital in Lagos, Nigeria on Friday, 17th April 2020.

According to Muslim rites of which Abba Kyari belongs to, Abba Kyari has to be buried 24hours after his death.

The corpse was conveyed in a private aircraft in Lagos to its final destination in Abuja where he was buried in a private cemetery in Abuja following the strict instructions from the NCDC.

Abba Kyari is the first Nigerian influential person to be killed by the dreaded virus in Nigeria.

President Buhari had appointed Late Abba Kyari, who hailed from Borno state, as his chief of staff in 2015 and reappointed him in 2019.

The late Kyari held bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Cambridge and the University of Warwick in law and sociology.
