Rolls Royce is a car meant for royalty, little wonder why the queen of England has lots of them in her garage. Rolls Royce commands respect, class and no commoner ever thinks of buying as everything about the car is luxury. In Nigeria for example, kings, wealthy men, and people with class are often seen with Rolls Royce.

For example, the Ooni of Ife, the Emir of Kano, Obi of Onitsha, among other royal dignities in Nigeria all have Rolls Royce as their official car.

As elegant as the car is, Rolls Royce is not meant for anyone, even celebrities that bought the brand have to be sure that they are buoyant enough for the maintenance and for the service.

  • Sir Henry Royce’s first job was a newspaper delivery boy.
  • Rolls-Royce Ltd was a car and airplane engine manufacturing company founded in 1906 by Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce.
  • Rolls-Royce Motors was acquired by the British conglomerate Vickers in 1980 and then purchased by BMW in 1998, even though BMW’s final offer was beaten by Volkswagen. Rolls-Royce chose BMW because the companies already had joint business ventures. BMW then built a new, dedicated Rolls-Royce factory in Goodwood, England.
  • The Rolls-Royce Phantom was introduced in 2003 and is the first incarnation of the new generation of Rolls-Royce cars under BMW. Customers can choose from, hold your breath, 44,000 colors.
  • The birth of every Phantom takes place in Germany, where close to 200 aluminum sections and 300 alloy parts are welded by hand. It takes at least two months to build a Phantom.
