Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has denied releasing any guidelines for the resumption of flights in the country.
In a statement by Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, General Manager Corporate Affairs of the FAAN, she said while they are working hard to make guidelines for the resumption of flights, the viral guidelines didn’t emanate from them.
“The attention of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has been drawn to a statement released by a certain Tayo Olu today, May 16, 2020, to the effect that the federal government through the FAAN has released a post-COVID-19 travel guideline for travellers.
“We want to state emphatically that although FAAN is carefully and seriously working on a guideline, the release did not emanate from us as it’s still a work in progress.
“Consequently, the Authority will like to enjoin air travellers and the general public to disregard the content of the said release,” the statement read.
