Aston Martin is celebrating the release of the 25th James Bond film, No Time To Die, with the release of two special models.
The Aston Martin Vantage and DBS Superleggera 007 Edition models are inspired by the cars featured in the latest Bond movie.
Aston Martin’s own ‘Q’ division – named after the famed gadget branch of Britain’s secret service in the films – has created 007 Editions of the Vantage and DBS Superleggera to mark the release of No Time To Die in November.
Both models are produced in collaboration between Aston Martin and EON Productions, the company that produces the Bond films with Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios.
No Time To Die, which will premiere in November 2020, features four Aston Martin models: the DB5, V8, DBS Superleggera and Valhalla. The latter is Aston Martin’s forthcoming mid-engine hypercar.
The Aston Martin DBS Superleggera and Vantage 007 Editions are being offered in limited numbers to buyers around the world.
Each one is carefully designed and crafted by Aston Martin’s bespoke division: Q by Aston Martin.
VANTAGE 007 EDITION
The Vantage 007 Edition is inspired by the original Aston Martin V8 that debuted in The Living Daylights in 1987. In No Time to Die, fictional spy James Bond uncovers the car from his personal lock-up in London.
The Aston Martin Vantage 007 Edition features unique exterior styling treatments led by a bespoke mesh grille with chrome bezel that references the look of the brand’s classic V8.
Further details include a dashed yellow diffuser inspired by the hazard stripes on the film car’s rockets.
The Vantage 007 Edition can even be delivered with a set of The Living Daylights inspired limited edition skis and ski rack – referencing the “winterised” model from the film.
The Vantage 007 Edition will be delivered with Cumberland Grey paintwork.
Meanwhile, the interior will feature obsidian black leather and dark chrome with 007 branding applied on the centre console of cars equipped with a manual gearbox.
The seats themselves feature unique heritage fluting reminiscent of that seen in the V8, along with carbon fibre seat backs.
A laser-etched gadget plaque that references the various weapons and devices seen on the original film car further indulges the driver.
Available as a manual or automatic, the Vantage 007 Edition also boasts a side strake Vantage badge and is limited to 100 units globally.
DBS SUPERLEGGERA 007 EDITION
To celebrate the James Bond debut of the range-topping Aston Martin DBS Superleggera, a second unique 007 Edition has been created.
Production is strictly limited to just 25 units, and each one will have the same specification as the car featured in the upcoming film.
The DBS Superleggera’s twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V12 pumps out 715bhp and 900Nm, which is the biggest torque figure ever produced by any road-going Aston Martin.
Style-wise, the DBS Superleggera 007 Edition sports special Ceramic Grey paintwork, with components such as the roof, mirror caps and diffuser finished in black tinted carbon fibre.
Aston Martin’s classic ‘Works’ department at Newport Pagnell is also in the midst of building 25 replica DB5 Goldfinger cars right now.
Each will cost £3.3million, feature a host of the gadgets the vintage Aston Martin (which also appears in No Time To Die) showcased when it debut in the hit film – thought not an ejector seat, sadly – and will not be legal to use on the road.
The modern-era creations might lack the machine guns and bullet-proof shield but make up for it with staggering performance.
