Lagos LBSL Buses Set Ablaze As Hoodlums Attack Newly Commissioned Terminal
Wednesday will forever linger as one of the worst days of Lagos as hoodlums took to the Oyingbo BRT terminal housing the LBSL buses were set ablaze by hoodlums.
It was gathered that miscreants defied the 24-hour curfew imposed by Lagos State Government, burnt down the terminus, recently opened at Oyingbo in Mainland Local Government Area, at about 8.30 a.m.
A large number of new BRT buses yet to be deployed to routes but parked in the terminus situated behind railway line in Oyingbo, have all been consumed by the raging fire.
The state is under a 24-hour curfew.
The LBSL is different from BRT buses.
Lagos Bus Services Limited (LBSL) was incorporated in 2016 as a Transport Asset Acquisition, Operations, and Advisory Services Company to provide a much-needed compass and guide to the operation of Bus Services in Lagos.
The LBSL was inaugurated by the former governor, Akinwunmi Ambode in 2018.
