Traffic Offence: Lagos Govt Prosecutes 20,119 Cases In Six Months (Infographic)

A total of 20, 119 traffic offence cases were prosecuted by the Lagos State Government before the Special Offences Tribunal within six months, an infographic by the Ministry of Justice has revealed.

According to the document, the cases were prosecuted between June and December 2020.

A breakdown further revealed 2664 cases of willful obstruction on the highway, 1047 cases of stopping to pick passengers on the highway, 982 cases of illegal use of BRT lite corridors and 245 cases of facing oncoming traffic (one way) were recorded within the period under review.
