Petrol Tanker Spilled Its Content At Niger Bridge
What could have been termed a major fire disaster was averted on the Niger Bridge on Wednesday as a petrol tanker spilled its content on the ever-busy bridge.
A petrol tanker has reportedly spilled its contents at the River Niger Bridge, Onitsha Anambra state.
The truck was said to have hit the edge rail of the bridge while attempting to make a U-turn on the bridge.

The Nation gathered that the tanker was coming into the state from Delta State when the vehicle propeller pulled off, resulting in loss of control by the driver.
The vehicle reportedly hit the edge of the bridge and hung on its protective side rail, preventing it from plunging into the river.
Confirming the incident, State Sector Public Education Officer, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Pascal Anigbo, said the two occupants of the tanker came out unhurt.
He said, “At about 8.30 am today Wednesday 6 May 2020, a Mack Truck with the registration number NKR41XA laden with fuel crashed at the border between Delta and Anambra State.
“The Ag. Unit Commander FRSC Onitsha Unit Command, Isaac Komolafe, called the Fire Service who responded immediately to salvage the situation. FRSC Operatives have cordoned off the area and are managing the traffic.
“The State Sector Commander FRSC, Andrew Kumapayi calls on vehicle owners and drivers, especially articulated vehicles to endeavor to always ensure their vehicles are in good working condition before embarking on any trip.
“He advises them to check and service their vehicles regularly to avoid unnecessary and preventable road traffic mishaps.”
