PHOTONEWS: Progress Report From Ongoing Repair Of 18L/36R Runway At The Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos

It will be recalled that on July 7, 2022, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria closed the Murtala Muhammed Airport runway for 90 days for the installation of Airfield Lighting. FAAN said it would also install the approach lights, runway lights, (threshold, centerline, edge lights) for runway 18L/36R so as to return to 24/7 operations.

AutoReportNG got some progress reports on the repair of the 18L/36R runway lights. We observed that the lighting has reached the 90% completion stage as lights have been on display.
