Check Out The Manual Traffic Sign Lagos Traffic Police Used To Control Cars Before Independence – PHOTOS

Just as every country, business and locality has days of their humble beginning before they got elevated all thanks to technology and advancement in science, Nigeria is not left out either.

This is a rare picture of Traffic Light Officer in Lagos in the early days. We can’t really ascertain the date but its likely to fall between 1930s and 1940s. The handheld traffic signal was used to control the few moving vehicles which mostly belong to the white men back then.

Things have advanced now, now we use automatic traffic light which can be controlled with a button or a remote in some cases.
