Concerns Over Ilorin-Ogbomoso Road As Road Starts Peeling Off After 2 Months (Photos)

There have been concerns about the type of road that was constructed on the Ilorin-Ogbomoso expressway. A user on this road has called out the federal government to immediately investigate the contractor handling this road on the type of asphalt being used on the road.

According to him, the asphalt was laid less than 2 months and the road has started peeling.

About Ilorin-Ogbomosho Road

The Ibadan-Ilorin Expressway was awarded about 17 years ago.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had awarded the road in 2002 and divided the highway into three lots. The first lot from Ibadan to Oyo and the third lot from Ogbomoso to Ilorin have been completed, while the second lot from Oyo to Ogbomoso was abandoned for many years. RCC Nigeria is the company responsible for the reconstruction of the road.
