Many at times we fall victim of patronizing quacks who claimed to be FRSC officials and authorized to make plate numbers. It will be recalled that the chief whip of Kano State Assembly fall a victim where a misspelt plate number was made for him which trended on various social media and FRSC coming out to deny the plate number emanate from them.

The Federal Road Safety Commission in a bid to show transparency has released lists of approved centres where you can make your plate number across the 36 states of the federation.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Nigeria was established as a governmental agency in 1988. The agency was tasked with the responsibility of reducing road accidents which will give rise to a safe motorable highway for all road users in Nigeria. Other responsibilities include the inspection of vehicles to ascertain their roadworthiness, elimination of any form of obstruction on the highway, provision of safe driving tips to motorist and the production of vehicle number plates.
