Getting a tinted glass permit in Nigeria is as easy as anything else, but as easy as it is, there are principles and rules governing the application. The Nigerian police have made it mandatory for all car owners intending to use tinted glasses to get permits from them in their (car owners’) states of residence.

Getting the Police Tinted Glass Permit is free if the right and proper procedure is followed, that is using the police source directly, but in a case whereby one is not patient enough, there is an agent option that will help to process the permit within the shortest period of time but you must be willing to part with at least 10,000 Naira or more.

3. SIGNATURE: Sometimes it’s always confusing to know if you’re holding an original document in Nigeria cos fake ones always look better and appealing than the original, check the signature on your permit if it’s fainted or bold… Fainted signatures shows they are scanned and edited which is likely to be a fake one but the bold and vibrant means it is authentic.

4. APPLICATION ID: During the pre-registration, you will be issued an application Id to log in to your portal with your email, if you still have the application Id and mail you can use that to verify your permit but since the print out is done at the force headquarter also, this might be challenging.

According to Nigerian law, tinted glass permit is a must-have, if you have a tinted glassed vehicle. However, this permit is given only if an applicant meets the requirements.
