Lagos Government Embarks On Inner Streets Road Construction At Lagos-Badagry Expressway (Photos)

Irede road at the Lagos-Badagry road is currently receiving massive construction works, the road which is a death trap for motorists in the state is receiving attention from the state government.

Irede is a 2.20km road off the Lagos-Badagry Expressway close to Trade Fair bus stop. The road which terminates at the Irede Jetty which is a major axis for water transportation to the riverine communities of Ibasa, Ibeshe, Ilashe and Imoore in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area.

Irede road was in a deplorable state having deteriorated over the years arising from inadequate hydraulic structures and increased axle load/traffic volume. The Sanwo-Olu administration is fully committed to rehabilitating the Road. The Special Adviser (MoWI) on Sunday inspected on-going works on the project at this axis.
