Panseke-Adigbe Road Gets A Facelift As Engineers Begin Laying Stone Base
As reconstruction work continues on the widely lauded Panseke-Adigbe Road, engineers have begun laying stone base, towards the eventual laying of asphalt.
The stone base work takes off from the Panseke end of the road, precisely from the Panseke Pedestrian Bridge and has now reached the Onikoko Bridge.
This development follows the completed installation of utilities and relocation of power lines, amidst the construction of a cumulative 1150 metres of concrete drainage on the two sides of the road.
It would be recalled that the Hon. Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya had earlier disclosed that a reinforced 2m x 1.2m box culvert was being constructed around the popular SOAS Cement Depot, to channel groundwater and stormwater during rainy seasons.
A 500 metre-long walkway has also been constructed from the pedestrian bridge up to the Ogun State Fire Service Station to reduce the risk of accidents on the completion of the project.
The State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has reiterated his promise to ensure that the reconstruction project, which was abandoned by the immediate past administration in the State, will be completed in the shortest possible time, especially as the progress of work now more clearly indicates this.
