This High-Tech, Expandable ‘Mobile Hospital’ Has A COVID-19 Isolated Clinic To Treat Patients Onboard
Given the unpredictability of COVID-19 and rising hotspots across the U.S., the CT Defense Mobile Medical Unit could lessen the constraint put on hospitals – and save more lives. Created by CT Defense and distributed by Elavo, this state-of-the-art mobile hospital is a 12-bed mobile ICU that features HEPA filtered climate control, which prevents the spread of infectious diseases.
A group of engineers built the first mobile hospital in Oaxaca, with the aim that the care system assists patients with coronavirus in the United States.
The unit has state-of-the-art technology, which departed from the municipality of Tlalixtac de Cabrera to Florida, in the neighbouring country.
According to the creators of the unit, this would be the first of at least 17 mobile adaptations for hospital care with state-of-the-art technology in an international tender, which was won by the Oaxacan company Trayfler, which states that it met the rigorous quality standards that required by commercial and military regulators of the United States government.
This system covers more than 2,500 kilometres in the direction of Florida.
The director of the Trayfler company, Julio Fernández, exhibited on video and presented the mobile hospital adapted as an intensive care unit and that could also have a complete operating room, with a cleaning area for the medical staff and also for the medical equipment to be used.
The unit stands out from the rest due to its advanced sanitization entrance/exit that protects health workers and the community. It has expandable sides that almost doubles the clinic space, which includes a 633-square foot area that is completely isolated. When in transit, the unit is 8ft wide and at full-expansion, it measures 15’9” wide.
