In another of its operations on the Third Mainland bridge, LASEMA Response Team, Tiger Squad, recovered accident victims and a crashed white commercial bus with registration number GGE 95 XY which was involved in a lone accident on the Third Mainland Bridge while driving inward Iyana-Oworo, today, Monday, 12th October 2020.
According to eye witness account by an adult male passenger, the incident was as a result of combusted rear tyres while on the motion.
Unfortunately, the driver of the commercial bus and a yet to be identified passenger lost their lives to the incident.
The eyewitness who survived the unfortunate incident further narrated that the driver had been warned severally over his reckless driving before the incident which claimed the two lives and left others injured, occurred.
While the surviving passengers that sustained varying degrees of injuries were administered First Aid treatment the unfortunate two who lost their lives were both evacuated by SEHMU.
The Director-General/CEO LASEMA, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu calls on all motorists to ensure their vehicles are roadworthy before embarking on any journey and avoid overspeeding which resultant effect is loss of lives and properties.
