The Mile 2 interchange road that leads to the Lagos-Badagry expressway is set to be open to the public soon as road construction on this axis is completed.
According to Fashina Shakiru who inspected the rehabilitation of Mile 2 interchange, Durban junction inward Alakija, Lagos/Badagry expressway.
The level of the work is 100% completed as engineers and supervisors of CCECC are unground making rammed up finishing touches on the joints of the roads.
Information however suggests that, within the next few days, the road will open for use and reduce the pressure on the main carriageway while the service lane under reconstruction and other diversion sections will be free flow of traffic activities.
It will be recalled that last week CCECC commenced several road section repairs from Maza maza to Mile 2 inward signal barracks, Lagos/Badagry Expressway, and alternative routes created to divert motorists. This caused a lot of traffic jam along these roads.
Road users are advised to drive with caution, follow the traffic instructions and signage for a safe drive.
The traffic management team such as the LASTMA, FRSC, Nigeria Police, and NURTW Traffic Monitor were seen managing and controlling the traffic situation to ensure free traffic without any delays.
