See The New Look Of Lagos-Ibadan Railway As Trains Undergo Pilot-Test (Photos)
The China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) has begun the test run of the Lagos-Ibadan Railway with the arrival of the new trains.
We reported earlier that the tracks laying from Ebute Metta in Lagos have been completed all the way to Ibadan.
The CCECC early this week embark on the testing of the new locomotive trains that were bought from CRRC in China, the trains which are the first batch of the trains are seen on the tracks.
With this test run, we can say that the official commissioning of the Lagos-Ibadan Railway is close by. The Lagos-Ibadan Railway Project is meant to connect Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states. With this on board, the traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway will be reduced so as to preserve the roads.
