The general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye has reportedly taken delivery of a brand new chopper with registration number 5N-EAA.
The EAA acronym represents Enoch Adejare Adeboye. The helicopter was purchased basically for evangelism, to reach places where vehicles can’t reach and to also cover a short distance within the shortest period of time.
It was gathered that the helicopter is currently being parked at the Dominion Aviation Centre hangar belonging to Winners Chapel, whose head is Bishop David Oyedepo.
It will be recalled that in December 2019, the 78-year-old General Overseer of the Church went on an apostolic/evangelical visit usually known as ‘LET’S GO A FISHING’ to about 20 towns around Nigeria within 4 days preaching and winning souls to Christ, this he did on roads.
The brand new helicopter ‘5N-EAA’ is presently parked in the Winners’ Chapel owned hangar‘Dominion Aviation Center’ at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
Pastor Adeboye has ordained a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1977. He became General Overseer of the church in 1981. For three years, he filled the role part-time at Unilorin before giving up his university position to preach full-time.
The church, which was not well known prior to Adeboye becoming the General Overseer, has branches in about 196 nations (as at March 2017), including more than 14,000,000 in Nigeria. Pastor Adeboye has stated that his aim is to put a church within five minutes walking distance in developing cities and five minutes driving distance in developed cities.
