The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) came to the rescue of a truck accident that happened in Ojuelegba over the weekend thankfully, no lives were lost.
According to reports, Consequent upon the arrival of the Agency’s Response Team at Ojuelegba Inward Stadium at 8:58 pm on Sunday, 24th September 2023, where an articulated truck that conveyed a 40FT container had an accident and fell on a Toyota Corolla car with registration number JJJ 811 FV with two adults trapped.
Further information gathered at the incident scene revealed that the truck lost control while ascending the Ojuelegba bridge inward Stadium.
Fortunately, there was no loss of lives due to the swift and prompt intervention of the Agency’s Response Team, which swung into action immediately using the Agency’s light rescue equipment to extricate the trapped victims with its heavy-duty equipment, Forklift to recover the container off the Corolla car.
However, the trapped adults, one adult male, and one adult female were rescued alive by the Agency’s Team and given immediate pre-medical care by the Agency’s Paramedics before they were taken to the trauma center for further medical treatment.
Furthermore, the Agency’s heavy-duty equipment Forklift, Super-Metro, and Hiab recovered the truck, container, and the Corolla car from the road to restore vehicular activities on the road.
